Live Salsa for Festivals, Weddings and Parties

Welcome to Alma Latina. Established in 2004, we’re a fully live 6 piece Salsa/Mambo/Bugalu band boasting extensive festival, corporate and wedding experience. Alma Latina (‘Latin Soul’) goes right to the source with tunes by Ray Barretto, Joe Cuba, Eddie Palmieri and Cal Tjader and the other hard groove merchants which kept the dance floors of Spanish Harlem packed for two decades. Alma Latina’s line-up follows the model of Eddie Palmieri’s classic ‘La Perfecta’ formation – with trombone and flute front line, plus the authentic back-line of congas, timbales, piano and bass. Equally at home in a jazz club, a dance venue, a wedding or an outdoor festival, the music is definitely con sabor latino, but is not necessarily just for the latin purist. Bridgnorth Music & Arts Festival – 28th Aug 2011

We’re delighted to have been invited to take part in this years Bridgnorth Music and Arts Festival, - a diverse music and arts festival now in it’s 6th year for 2011 with a fantastic programme of music, arts, literary, film, comedy and family events.

Alma Latina will be performing as part of the festival at The New Inn, High Town, Bridgnorth on Sunday August 28th and will be taking the stage at 2pm.
